GOLFING IN THE GARDEN ROUTE

Fancourt Country Club Estate

A challenging Gary Player designed Parklands course set in splendid surroundings. With its kikuyu fairways and bent grass greens, the course has proven very popular on the US tour.

Fancourt Links Golf Course

Uniquely South African golf course created by moving over 700 000m of earth to create a rolling terrain with dune-style landscape. The course boasts with cool season bent fairways and greens, and was officially opened in November 2000.

Fancourt Outeniqua Golf Course

18-hole Parkland course with world-class conditioning and a setting that encompasses the mountains, water and wildlife. Also designed by Gary Player, it offers kikuyu fairways and bent grass greens.

Goose Valley Golf Course

With a nature reserve flanking many of the holes, this course is built on pure sand and offers dramatic views of the ocean, mountains, fynbos and resident birdlife. It is a combination Links- and Parklands course in the heart of a real estate development.

Oubaai Golf Course

An Ernie Els design in conjunction with the technical advice of Nicklaus Design, the privately held company of golf legend Jack Nicklaus. A par 74, 18-hole masterpiece, this course is both enjoyable and challenging. Panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and Gwaing River Valley are on offer.

Pezula Golf Course

With its Kentucky Blue & Rye fairways, bent grass greens and layout on top of broad coastal cliffs, this course has been compared with Gleneagles in the Scottish Highlands and Pebble Beach on the Monterey coastline. It also offers 5 distinctive tee options on every hole to cater for all skill levels.

Simola Golf Course

A professional challenge and inspiration to the amateur. Simola is known as one of South Africa’s premier golfing destinations, and is also the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course on the Garden Route.

Pinnacle Point Golf

Being described as the finest golf course on the planet with dramatic coastline and ocean views, cliff-side holes and over 100 acres of untouched beachfront. The pristine 18-hole championship course was co-designed by Peter Matkovich and Darren Clarke.
